On Friday the 4th of March pupils of St. Francis School celebrated Welsh week by hosting their very own Eisteddfod. Pupils wore Welsh costumes into school and spent the morning in the hall singing welsh songs, reciting welsh poems and sharing art work based on the Urdd theme “belonging”. Each poem, recital and art work entered was judged by students of the Welsh Council with each of the winning entries receiving points for their house. It was a very close competition with St. Clears house winning over all. Several of the children who recited Welsh poetry went on to compete in the county Eisteddfod held in Tenby Infant School on Monday the 7th of March. We are very proud of everyone who took part - da iawn pawb!
